Prerequisites
- An iPhone or iPad with the Spark iOS app installed via TestFlight
- A Spark account, signed in first on the web
- A 3D scene already set up in the Spark web app
The Spark iOS app is currently distributed through TestFlight. App Store availability is forthcoming.
- Open the Spark iOS app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Sign in with the same Google or Apple account you use in the browser. There is no separate phone login — your organization, productions, scripts, scenes, and Gallery follow your account.
Navigate to a scene
- Select your organization from the home screen.
- Open your production.
- Open a script. From here you can browse Script and Scenes, Shot Lists (if the production has any), and Takes.
- Tap into the 3D scene you want to work in.
Shot Lists
If shot lists have been created for the production, a Shot Lists door appears alongside Script and Scenes and Takes. Tapping into a shot list shows its setups as a browsable, read-only list with preview thumbnails and descriptions — shot lists themselves are created and edited in the Spark web app.Splat size limits
The Spark iOS app caps at roughly 5 million splats per scene. If your splat exceeds that count, the scene will not load on the phone. Keep a downsampled version for mobile previs and the full-resolution version for the browser and for Jetset on set.Next steps
- iPhone or iPad camera controls — Navigate scenes and configure camera settings on your phone.
- Live camera sharing — Broadcast your camera view to the team in real time.
- Compositing and recording — Record takes with live compositing.
