What the Gallery is for
The Gallery is the production’s single view of coverage. It lists every scene, grouped by script, with each scene’s setups underneath — and each setup’s cameras and takes underneath that. Use it to plan a shoot day, run a review meeting, or see at a glance what’s left to shoot.Browsing scenes and setups
Each setup appears as a card, whether or not it has been shot yet — an unshot setup still shows, so you can see what coverage is missing. A setup’s card leads with its previz render as a poster and groups its cameras underneath.Cameras and takes
A card is grouped by camera position: the camera’s CG previz render and every take recorded from that position appear together on the same card as layers, not as separate cards. A take recorded with no scene camera selected on the phone is listed under No camera, inside its setup. This is about the camera position in the 3D scene. It is not about the phone’s own camera being on or off.Layers and missing coverage
Each take’s layer strip shows the artifacts that have arrived for it — composite, raw camera, background, matte, and depth. A layer that hasn’t arrived yet draws as a labelled empty slot:- If the web app can produce it (the CG previz render), the slot carries a Generate action.
- If it only comes from the phone (a captured layer), the slot is a passive gap — the prompt to go shoot it.

A card with no picture
A take card with no video yet says what it is waiting for:- A take recorded with the phone’s camera on reads The camera video and comp come from the phone. Upload this take there to see it here.
- A take recorded with the phone’s camera off reads No video yet. Render it with Regenerate BG from the menu. See regenerating a background.
- A take recorded with the phone’s camera off, whose background the web cannot render yet, reads the reason instead, such as The phone hasn’t uploaded this take’s camera track yet.

Download chips
Some files of a take cannot be played in the browser. Once uploaded, each one has a chip after the layer chips. Click the chip to download the file. Its tooltip reads Download and the file’s name.- Tracking is the take’s camera tracking data.
- Depth (raw) is the depth of a take whose depth was saved in the phone’s raw format. Its tooltip ends with 16-bit depth, lossless. Such a take has no Depth chip.

View modes
Switch between two view modes:- Card grid — Displays setups and takes as visual cards with preview thumbnails.
- List — Displays them in a compact list format with key details.

Take card actions
Open the … menu on a card.
- Regenerate BG renders a background for a take that has none. The render runs in the browser and uses the scene as it is now.
- Download saves the card as one zip file.
Regenerating a background
Use Regenerate BG on a take that has no background yet. Such a take shows a dashed BG chip. The render uses the take’s camera track, so the camera move matches the take. The take’s video does not need to be uploaded first. The Spark iOS app sends each take’s camera track when recording stops, even with Auto-upload video turned off. See the Takes page.- Open the take card’s … menu and click Regenerate BG.
- Wait while it renders. The top bar shows “Regenerating BG” with the take’s name and the frames left. The menu item reads Regenerating BG… and is greyed out.
- When the message “Background updated” appears, click the BG chip on the card to see the new background.
- This take already has a background
- The phone hasn’t uploaded this take’s camera track yet
- This take isn’t linked to a 3D scene
Downloading a zip file
To download several cards at once, click Select Takes, tick the cards, and click Download. A selection is also saved as one zip file. The zip file is named with the date and time, then “Gallery Takes”. Its folders follow the Gallery: 3D scene, then setup, then camera.2026-10-07 18.40.12 Gallery Takes.zip
