What shot lists are for
Shot lists help you organize the shots you need to capture across your production. Use them for planning shoot days, running through sequences in review meetings, or preparing call sheets.Creating a new shot list
Create a shot list from within a production. Give it a name that reflects its purpose — for example, “Day 1 exteriors” or “Chase sequence.”Adding shots
Add shots from any scene in the production to your shot list. Each entry references the original shot in its scene, so changes to the shot (camera position, duration) are reflected in the list.Reordering shots
Drag shots within the list to set a custom order. You can arrange them by shooting schedule, story order, or any sequence that fits your workflow.Multiple shot lists
You can run multiple shot lists in parallel — for example, a director’s list, a DP’s list, and a second-unit list. Spark does not force one canonical list.View modes
Switch between two view modes:- Card grid — Displays shots as visual cards with preview thumbnails.
- List — Displays shots in a compact list format with key details.
Downloading previews
Click Download Preview on any shot to export an MP4. This is useful for sharing outside Spark Story or as input for AI video tools, where a real camera move produces cleaner output than a text prompt.Compositing-mode take files
